What do we all think?

Asking people who they voted for is like asking how much money they earn, people get quite secretive and cagey, so yay, nay or coudn't be bothered to get to the polling station?

I think Labour are going to get spanked into the next decade. I didn't vote Tory but I think David Cameron is really going to do the business, I just hope he's not a pussy underneath it all.

Hi

Don't think labour have much chance of a win outright, but possible they will have enough to join with the lib dems to form a government.

Personally I do not want a hung parliament (although would have been very happy with that for that last 15~20 years to stop too much silly legislation), but I also do not want a landslide by any party.

All the best

Keith

I went to the polling station but did not vote.
Whoever you vote for you end up with a politician.

The election is a lot like my arsehole. Brown gets pushed out but is just replaced by some other shit.

Whoever wins is going to have make massive cuts to public services and raise taxes to pay off the deficit that Labour have made. The only alternative is Browns idea of spending more to try and solve the deficit, which doesn't make any sense!!!

What's going to have to happen is completely because of Labour and their actions over the last 13 years.

That'll only happen if Labour get the lowest share of the vote... apparently. Dunno how it works really but I read some commentator saying that the Conservative and Lib Dem policies in certain areas are compatible, such as stopping ID cards etc. They will fall short of forming an actual coalition, but if DC agrees to organise a referendum on electoral reform, then Clegg is likely to back him on other stuff potentially...

Its going to be an interesting time. No party will be able to claim that they have a 'mandate' to ruin our fucking lives like Labour have for the last 13 years. Even the Conservatives didn't screw over the country by reducing civil liberties in the way Labour has.

Anti terror legislation, human rights, DNA database, ID cards, bans on objects... Its all leading down a nasty authoritarian route that I don't want to go down.

I'd put up with *some* economic uncertainty in order to have some of my civil liberties returned to me.

I voted and it wasn't for any of the bastards that are going to end up running the show. I've no doubt it will be a hung parliament, if not then Tories will take it. I don't want any of the 3 in but I want Labour the least so Rolling Eyes

If Labour won majority i'd start to support radical muslims I think as everyone deserves to get jihad'd.

William Hill have Cons at 1/50... that is you have to bet £50 to win £1 back.

Lab at 12-1, Lib Dem 66-1

Now, if you'll exuse me, I have some virtual greyhound racing to get involved in.

How about everyone north of the midlands have their own government? Such labour strongholds are annoying.

Hi

Might be a labour stronghold but their share of the vote has dropped by a fair amount. 62% voted labour last time, 50.3% this time.

All the best

Keith

The thing about having a hung parliament is, MPs always talk about how we would end up having another election within 12 months. So what? If there's a hung parliament then the British public as a whole are fairly undecided on the parties. After 12 months, they will have decided who is best for the job.
