bring you up to date:
august 2009 crashed my R6 into an audi, making it shorter.
bought a new frame and built it back up. I sent off the V5 to get it all done legally with the frame swap, and took it for the inspection today. I've been riding around happily for a bit over a month now until i took it in.
they said because it isnt a brand new frame, i'd have to get it Q plated, which will cost 45 for the SVA check, and 55 for the registration...
i know for a fact that it wont pass an SVA check, so fuck it.
MOT is about to run out...
As a result, no road bike.
What's a bike like this worth? i'm thinking sell it, saying whats what, and making up the difference to buy another one?
or any other suggestions?
anyone want to buy a lovely low-ish milage R6 with FSH? ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. £50 or £500...
im cheap.
i could make it a track bike, as i've got a spare set of fairings, but i dont really want to put any money into it.
i was hoping for about £1500 for it if i sold it. maybe about right considering some go for over 2500?
got a steering damper, gear indicator and two exhausts. fuck knows. im gutted.
breaking it for spares is also an option i guess, but that takes time and you're left with a pile of shit bits afterwards. but as id want another R6 that wouildnt be so bad if i could recoup my losses.
off the top of my head i might get the following:
> fairing £150
> headlight £100
> engine £250?
> wheels with tyres £100
> swingarm £30
> undertray, rear light and battery tray £100 (no idea why these sell so well)
> shock and forks £150?
> wiring and all other bits £100
then i'm left with loads of shit bits. postage costs, ebay fees etc... ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles.
