Looking at getting one with about 2800 miles. 1992

Would be using it mainly for commuting 10 miles to work in winter weather.

Reliable? Any opinions?

Ultra reliable, about 35 bhp, frugal, and plenty of spares. Will go anywhere and everywhere, and ultralight, even by modern standards.

Serious tool for green laning

Is it premix or auto lube?

Just change the gearbox oil regularly, and keep the plug clean and it'll last about 15 - 20 k on a fresh top end.

If you plod about everywhere it'll foul plugs and end up with 2 stroke in the sump, so it seems to prefer being kept in the upper mid range.

Not sure what you mean by Premix/Autolube. That to do with the 2t mix?

I had the pleasure of running a KMX200 for a few days, fairly similar I think? Absolute pleasure to ride and pretty easy to start too. So nice I was hugely tempted to pull the wallet out and buy it, my only worry was it being a bit of a pikey magnet

Premix is when you mix 2 stroke into the petrol and put it in the tank.

Autolube is a seperate tank you fill with 2 stroke which it feeds directly into the engine
