As we all know the old rxs electricals aren't exactly the best things out there. As mine is been going a good 20 years and most of the wiring is all black and oxidised I think a re-wire would do it good.

Whilst I'm there some improvements could be made... attached is the pic. (I'm aware that left and right on the indie switch is the wrong way round *facepalm*)

This is just the lighting circuit as of course the ignition circuit is totally separate on the rxs (thank the lord) so that will be untinkered with.

The system is a really simple lights-always-on AC-only system, as run on road legal MX bikes and the like. My brothers Tomos runs a 12V AC system and that seems to be absolutely fine...

I might do a 12V rewind on the rxs in the future (I've got spare coils - not butchering original ones) so the system ideally would be able to swap from 6 to 12V just by pulling out components and swapping them for 12V equivalents.

Will this diagram be up to scratch? Also do I need to worry about fusing as there is not battery?

This overkill?

Fuse isolating the charging coil itself, and the lights and auxilliary systems are protected independently too.

Its an Rxs100 so its cdi, the ignition circuitry is completely self contained luckily. There are two separate circuits, lighting and ignition that are never sharing any wires.
