What handguards have you got?

I'm after some handguards for the Gasser. I've had Acerbis Rally Pro's before and am after something very similar to those.

The trouble is they're a bit pricey but as I have fatbars they cheaper copies on eBay won't fit.

What do you have on yours?

I had these cheepies on the CRM and then put them on the gas gas

They did the job well and crashed loads of times.

Guildford tyres stock them, mines cost me £17.50 but they have put the price up to £25 now, also come in red BTW

On my WR I had the Acerbis Rally Pro's.
I figured that I would need them to protect the levers and my hands from all the falling off I do.
But, every time I have fallen off they simply bend round and the levers still snap every now and then.

On the KTM, there are just simple standard bush guards (dont go round to ends of bars:

I am tempted to stick with those.

However, there was one time when I shot up a bank at Tow Brake Lane ... and hit that tree at a good speed, right on the left hand.
If I hadnt had the full ally re-enforced Acerbis ones, then I would definitely have had broken fingers.

Last point. Many of our USA cousins dont like the full metal guards ... lots of storys of broken wrists and the like Shocked

So to answer your possible questions.
I dont have a bloo*y clue what ones are best and would like the advice of others also Smile

Best handguards out there are the Cycra Pro-Bends, but they DON'T come cheap! just my opinion

I've heard about the wrist breaking stories - I'm sure it can happen, but like yourselves, I reckon the benefits outweigh the risks.

the cheepies come with 2 differant end peices for differant internal bar diamitures and the clamp bit should be fine.

yes they are mate, as you can see, if they are on fat bars, you wont have as much thread sticking out.

Be warned though, the nice Chinese bolt might aswell be made out of cheese, I just changed mine for some better ones I had in the shed.

But they're cheep as chips and do the the job

I can't see any mention of any metal bracing in those Silky? I think £50 for all plastic guards is a bit steep.
