I have injured my baby.
https://www.bikechatforums.com/files/imag0008.jpg
Walked backwards into it and it fell over onto a poorly positioned brick. Not punctured but pretty big dent.
I don't dare try anything to get it back in case I make it worse. |

Only posers and complete gaylords don't have dents in their tanks You could always say some gangster shot at you and bullet deflected off the tank ____________________ The RXS100: vehicle of choice for Chuck Norris |

The metal is creased. It's there for good.
Even if you pulled it out with a slide hammer and pins, it'd still need filling.
You might be able to somewhat ding it back out with a socket extension bar and hammer applied carefully to the inside of the tank but it'll still look like a tank with a huge dent in it. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. I have a dent in my tank that could probably be popped back out but I've never bothered come to think of it.
Don't worry, as said everybody has dents in their tanks, especially on small commuter bikes ____________________ will never give up his CG. I look at my fuel gauge more as a progress bar than a fuel gauge.

ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston? |

My tank had a chip in the gel coat after it was reversed into by a blind woman.
I didn't realise it should be kept as a badge of honour so I replaced the tank.
I feel quite gay now
