been on the road riding vespas for two years -
just booked my Mod 1 - i`ve read all the "bad" reports and so on...
not too fussed.

main issue is - vespas.
the gears are all on the left grip (twist grip gears + clutch lever)
will i be alowed to do my Mod1 on my scoot, or not?

either way im gonna try and get some, more, practice on a "conventional" bike ( friend's CBR125) to get uest ot the controls, weight and so on...

But then does that could as the full moped test? As in, can you only then ride automatics.

Yes, you can take mod 1, and mod 2 for that matter, on a Vespa.
However, depending on which model it is, depends on whether it would be an A1 (light motorcycle) or an A2 (standard motorcycle) category test.
if the Vespa is capable of achieving 100kmh its A2, which results in a 33bhp restricted licence. If its incapable of achieving 100kmh its A1, which results in a 125cc licence.

its the light motorcycle licence aka; 125 test

not forking out £700 odd quid for a full licence just yet!

my scooter is a vespa PK80s, fitted with a 125 and reg, to suit.
it`ll do 60mph. on a slight gradient or with a tailwind

sounds good (Y)im gonna get some practice with some figure 8's

The mod one light bike test is exactly the same as the A2 test.. only difference is the bike. You'd be just as well taking your restricted test.
