cheap is 50 quid or so, times are tight at the mo, and i simply cant justify 130 quid on a dvd player as all i do it watch dvd's in my room, to get decent sound i put it thought my hifi, but as far as picture goes or whatever it is you are paying 130 quid for, its only as good as the rest of your equiment, and my tv is a daewoo Rolling Eyes

V true!

I guess the supermarkets seem to be the place to get top players from for sensible money. I know Tesco a while back were doing some good deals.

Hi

We paid £45ish for our from Asda a few months back. We checked online to ensure that it could be made multi region so bought it.

All the best

Richer Sounds are good when they actually have something in stock (don't let them sell you anything apart from what you actually went in for)

There's some sales on at the moment, in Argos/Dixons etc. The better makes are Pioneer, Yamaha and Sony but you can get other ones at reasonable prices & quality

Can recommend the Pacific 1002 from Asda. It's £35 and no hassles. It'll even play any region (google it to find codes).

In my opinion 1 of the best dvd players around £29.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000ESXJP/202-9177177-8494259

Does it all mp3,svcd,vcd and its multi region, i have the older larger version of this, had it for over 2 years and its still going strong.
https://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B0000ESXJP.02.LZZZZZZZ.jpg.

I read somewhere that yamada are the fasted selling dvd players at the moment in the UK, and they even have a DVD recorder model for around £149.

Depends what you want to play on it. Multi Region? VCD/SVCD? DIVX/XVID?

I've got a Yamada DVX6100 and it's been good, plays everything including DIVX and XVID's no probs so far. The firmware is upgradeable from their website too.

The new version is here

https://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0001HPTYY/qid%3D1089632932/202-8741363-5951847

It's actually a Umax who have been around making scanners etc for a good while.

Mine does anyway & I've got lots of disks to throw. Thumbs Up Laughing
