I hadnt run my NSR 125 '00 for quite a long time, when I went to run it last week it started fine, but the elctronics wouldnt work. The indicators/headlights were very flaky, sometimes they would work, sometimes they wouldnt. Then I turned on my headlights/indicators the RPM meter and Temp gauge went dead, until i turned the indicators/headlights off.

Yesterday I went to start the engine to give it a run, and nothing happened. It is cmopletely dead. I've checked all obvious things like battery charge (its charged fully) and connections.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Sounds more like a flat/dead battery... get a charger and leave it on over night and try again, if not then bump start the bike and go for a long ride.

The same thing happened to 30sumthin_gal's NSR the other week, all I done was bump start it and go for long ride and it's been fine ever since Shocked

Worth trying Thumbs Up

<EDIT> by the way, you can test the reg/reg etc using a multimeter across the battery terminals, test with ignition on, bike ticking over, and with light revs.. test with lights on and then with lights off etc.. and record the multimeter readings and match them up with a manual or post them on here Thumbs Up </EDIT>

the nsr's electrics are incredibly bad, there always blowing bulbs and batterys if that doesnt work try looking at the main fuse thats conected to the battery, at one point mine started to fall apart leading to similar problems

Do you have an alarm fitted? It sounds like something has just drained the battery. The alternator only works when the engine is running so if it has being left running something while the bike is not in use it will drain power. Check the battery for charge, if their is no power at all you may need to buy a new battery.
