Want to put a tinted visor on my Arai but not too keen splashing out 40 notes for a new visor.

Anyone know where I can get those peel-off stickers that you see the racers on tv using ??

Done a search on the interweb but no joy ...

cheers

not the peel off sticker type - but it's a tinted insert that goes on the inside of your visor, i had one for about 6 months and to be honest, it was actually quite decent

Arai black race visors are worth the money IMO and are a worthy investment although I have used FogCity inserts with success on my old Shoei XR800. They do a dark tint insert which also acts as double-glazing to prevent fogging and I found that they work very well.

Only problem is when it gets dark you would have to remove it (well - I actually never did Mr. Green ) and repeated removal would mean it would soon lose it's effectiveness.

Just get a decent visor would be my advice. Thumbs Up

just put a tinted insert in your pinlock (if your helmet is pinlock ready.. and if not.. WHY NOT!!!?! Razz)

failing that put a photocromatic (sp) fogcity/or similar make insert in. basically the same but sticks rather than clips in.

You mean like reactolite (sp?) glasses? Any links to where they might be found?

I'm fairly certain Hein Gericke were about to start stocking the inserts that change colour when light shines on them (like the glasses) but I haven't been in to check lately. Can let you know after my shift tomorrow though. Very Happy

sk8wheeler - please do Very Happy
Just had a look at their online catalogue and can't find anything there. Ok, I found lots of things but not these inserts. Maybe it is not updated as often as their stock. I'll have a proper look when the boss isn't around

Cheers for the replies...was making the mistake of using visor instead of shield when searching

Came across this store on ebay.. https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ARAI-SILVER-CHROME-MIRROR-L-TYPE-VISOR-Shield-Quantum-/320532294400?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Motorcycle_Helmets&hash=item4aa136ab00

good prices and does aftermarket visors

can't decide now to get chrome or black ...decisions, decisions !!! Rolling Eyes
