This is the reason why I have had a car licence for 2 years and the last time I have driven a car was the day I passed my test. Sad

Anything with 24v, V6 etc they tend to punish you for regardless of the amount of NCB you have Rolling Eyes

But its bike related aswell,

Gsxr600, had my liceance a year, 1yr NCD = £176tpft

406 V6, had my liceance for 6 years, 7yrs NCD = £500tpft

Can't understand why there is such a big differance in the prices.

The bike's has gone down but the car's gone up Question

I was told that most car insurance premiums went up this year because of the money they lost in the bank crash, and the recession. Mine has gone up an extra £100. More than I have ever paid for fully comprehensive insurance (I get it for windscreen protection). It's crazy.

Not looked for bike quotes yet...that will be next month's task.

i feel you'd have better luck with a ferrari. Or move out of war torn Beiruit.

I insure 2 fast(ish - and audi A4 avant (V6) and a BMW 5 series (V8) cars for me and the wife for less than a quarter of your low quote. But we are very, very old.

Try different insurers.

I insure an Impreza Hawkeye, Ford Focus and Chrysler Grand Voyager, all fully comp with a new driver (less than one year) as main driver on the focus.

All in comes to £580, which is not bad when compared to the road tax I have to pay Shocked

One thing I never understand is why people think the 9k etc quotes are funny, its just a way of the company saying they don't rally want your business and easier than putting up a no quote (no quote could mean something not quite right meaning the broker etc has to double check all the details).

Auto direct actually were one of my better quotes - 7 years no claims too, however I've just got 3 points Sad - also have two claims from 2007/2008. Around £800 for a 96 BMW M3.
