I'm considering getting a comfort kit for my SV650S. It comes in two versions it seems, one with standard bars, one with Renthal fat bars.

So what's the advantage?

Did a search and all I could find was someone mentioning better flex when going over bumps, but this was in a DRZ thumper forum.
The worst/roughest roads this bike is gonna get is the Honister Pass or some of the potholed unrepaired backstreet crap in Man/cr city centre.

So on a bike like the faired SV are FatBars just all tart factor?

Cheers

You could always ask someone on the dedicated sv site... www.sv650.org - it's highly likely one of the users has done a similar modification to their bike. Thumbs Up

Fatbars and twinwall are stronger and there is no need for the tradtional brace between the bars.

Not when you smash your jaw on it.

The comfort kit replaces the top yoke and adds risers and bars, hence the "bars or fat bars?" related question.
