Welcome to BCF and congratulations on the test.

As far as choosing a bike goes I've always thought sod practicality and sense and get something that is going to hit the drool button every time you see it.

Have you any bikes in mind?

Why thankyou Wink
Originally, i was planning on an Armstrong MT500... have also looked at brand new gxsf650s and bandits but i think something rather cheap but also reasonably powerful is the best bet Cool for the first few months atleast just to get the knack of it!! looked at CBRs and CBs found a few cheap ones.. any good ideas to be poked forward? im not the smallest of chaps but never am i huge so just thinking sporty doesnt suit? Laughing

Cheers

Well you certainly have a broad range of styles in mind Very Happy

I wouldn't even offer any suggestions because I really do believe a bike should be chosen entirely with the heart.

If you can, go have a look at a few and sit on them, ride them if possible, sometimes just doing that can instantly decide it for you.

If there's such a thing as bike hire in the Uk then maybe that's worth doing after you narrow down what you looking for...only a suggestion

the other way of doing it is accidentally buying a bike off ebay having never sat on it, or not knowing what condition its in....yup that's what I did. Wink Thumbs Up
