I’ve had other games in my possession and I’ve played a *uck load of games in my time but Fallout 3 has to be my favourite game of all time I think.

I’ve just reached 120hours of play, I don’t know what I haven’t collected really.lol.
The story has been immense and very unpredictable towards the end. I completed the add-on’s before completing the main story mode. I must admit the Ancourage pack was a bit bland but then it was meant to be a linear computer simulation. Mothership Zeta was entertaining, loved the new Alien weaponry and finally taking over the ship Star Trek style. Can’t forget the Pitt, it was defiantly worth getting the game of the year edition.
Point lookout was an awesome add-on to the game, tying in a few loose ends and expanding the whole thing even further. In the last few days I’ve come back and completed the main story…carrying on with the Broken steel add on, with the water now purified you’d think everything in the wastelands would be sweet but so far I’ve found more and more problems along the way. I’m not sure where this whole thing will end, all I can say is its been the most entertaining game I’ve played and I really hope they do a good job with Fallout new Vegas.

The game is truly epic, if you think of all of the small encounters and incidents that have happened along the way you’ll understand what a feat in gaming this has been. I remember some of the first outings with my character, carrying a few bottles of purified water, a hand gun and some random bits of food…meeting new people and acquiring skills. Fast forward to now and it’s hard to comprehend the amount of stuff I’ve accumulated over time. Anyways, that's all I wanted to say really.
Fallout has come a long way since the RPG on PC it used to be, I must admit the 3RD person looks terrible but I’m never using it…it may not be the slickest shooter/action/adventure on the market but for the money it give you a damn good game. Thumbs Up

I have put 89 hours in so far myself and only have 2 achievements left to get from Mothership Zeta and i've 100% the game - twice !

Can't agree more though the game is superb - the worrying thing is that Vegas is being made by another developer , Bethesda is just publishing it Confused

I wouldn't worry about Obsidian developing it, they worked on the original fallout games and I can't see them creating an entirely new engine for the game to play on. Should feel pretty similar.

I think I spent >100 hours completing the game the first time round. Didn't bother with any quests and killed everyone that it would let me.

Restarted it and I'm playing the good guy now doing all the good quests. Max karma, haven't stole anything and my house is better equipped than most armories. Picked up the GOTY edition but have yet to install it.

The HD textures, models and lighting really makes a lot of difference to the game.

Superb game.

It's funny how you accept all of it's bad points which could really bring a game down like how it sometimes takes 3+ shots with a rocket launcher to kill a human with no armour. Or shooting someone in the head at close range rarely kills them.

Second play through was fairly annoying as they seemed to reuse the voices a bit too much & the AI only have a handful of dialogue so it becomes a bit tedious.
Obviously this is how they wanted it & it's not an FPS but one of the best games i've played in a while, really draws you in. Online play would be brilliant.

Are the add-ons any good? Seemed to go from a similar setting to Fallout 3 with the first add-on to Hillbilly land to space, WTF. Laughing

The new trailer looks awesome, was that guy wearing a Nazi helmet & a trench coat?!

Oh nice one, id love a bobble head, was a bit pricey when I saw one on Ebay.
I got a lunch box instead for £10!

Did anyone find the toy horse on the spaceship?? I stumbled across it when in the rooms where they had been experimenting on humans.
Think it’s called butter cup and it’s on one of the loading screens of the game. It now sits on my work bench in my Megaton Pad. Thumbs Up
Anyone else find anything a bit different?
I have the spare room of my pad almost full of Nuka cola trucks….I also picked up the Experimental MIRV which fires 5 nukes at a time, its brutal. Lol

Makes it sound like the original has something wrong with it, have you played it? I'd highly recommend it Thumbs Up , depends what you are into.

Lots think Fallout 3 has gone a long way in the wrong direction.

I haven't played it yet, this PC wouldn't quite cope with it.
