Hi all,

I'm new to this place and hopefully will stay here for a good while.

I am looking to buy a motorbike (Sports). I have a full UK driving license and a CBT. As you all know I am only allowed a 125, so I was wondering what you recommend? Personally I am drawn towards the Yamaha YZF R125!

I also would like to know how much you think a 53 plate, Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4 is worth? roughly. As this money will fund my bike Cool

Nice one people,

Lloyd Smile

Thanks guys for your quick replies!

It hasn't actually crossed my mind to check on Auto Trader Laughing, I will have a look and keep ya updated.

Also, regarding the full bike test. What does is consist of? Is it difficult (easy to pass)?

Cheers Smile

How old are you?

if under 21 you will take a restricted licence - which is theory (similar to the one you would of done for the car), module 1 offroad maneuvers fairly easy, module 2 road ride easier than module 1.

If over 21 it will be DAS which is same as above but on a big bike.

Courses will cost about £500-700.

Don't forget a car may take a while to sell, so if you can afford it you should use this time to get your licence Very Happy

I'm currently getting my restricted licence, been driving car for 1 yr but done 16k miles Laughing passed module one first time and have mod 2 later this month.

Im just booking up my DAS, its going to be either 4 or 5 days and roughly £600 for me including bike hire and test fees if that helps. I already have my CBT and theory test done too.

Hi and welcome Smile

Sorry for the delayed reply!

I have booked my CBT, and will gather confidence one the road first, then will take the direct access test. Also decided to go for the YZF R123 Smile

Thanks for the replies everyone,

Lloyd
