I have stainless steel headers and a Titanium silencer (different brand ), I need to join them up.

The link pipe will need to be S shaped.
Has anyone experince in making a link pipe successfully?

Where can I buy/get the raw material from?
I am guessing Titanium or SS will be too difficult for me to bend and shape without expensive equipment so maybe there is another material I could use?

it might be worth getting a link pipe for your bike and "modding" it to fit. Can you weld?

If you can weld then it can be done with a few bit's of steel pipe work.
I made this for my slr650:

Not pretty but it got the job done.I just cut 3/4 way into the pipe with a hacksaw to get the bends in the right place then weld on two bits of pipe the correct diamater to fit the can and headers.
(you can even use sheet steel and roll it to the size you want, then weld it along the seam.Again it's not pretty but it'll work)
Probably be much easier to just buy the correct link pipe even if it needs a slght mod to fit.I was too tight so did it myself
Very Happy

Or possibly buy some Flexible exhaust tubing ?

Thanks for the replies.
The SS headers are aftermarket and the silencer was bought by someone for a different bike. I bought it from him without the linkpipe and have telephoned the company who inform me they don't have a link pipe for my bike.

I do not have a welder and have never tried welding myself.

That's a pretty good job there Truxx.

As the other parts are SS and Titanium I want something similar in colour.
Was looking at this
https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/45mm-1-3-4-OD-Aluminium-Alloy-Hose-Pipe-Tube-1-Metre-/270495872392?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3efacf7588

Would this be suitable for the heat it will need to withstand?
I will still have to bend it of course Smile

Thanks for that link I will have a look.

As said in the second post, It'd be easier to get a link pipe for your bike. A link pipe for any aftermarket exhaust made for your bike will fit as long as the outlet is the same outside diameter.... If it's slightly smaller you can get it widened.

Blueflame would need me to take my bike to them and take 10 days to make the pipe up and will charge £100.

So I went for 500mm of stainless steel flexi exhaust tube £10.
I have some jubilee clips so it will be interesting to see how this works out.
