Tried this but for some reason looking around in Portal is really jerky and unplayable, it's smooth when you walk but really choppy when you look. Not a low spec system and Half Life 2 works fine on max, the steam forums as as helpful as a hole in the head.

L4D2 went very choppy on me for some reason a while ago, only happened when I was indoors. Game said it was running at 60fps but was playing at what felt like 5. Problem disappeared after a few days by either restart or update.

What's it like at lower settings?

It's the same on lowest settings, am running all the latest drivers though not sure i've tried it since I rebooted strangely so will give it another go, doubt it'll help though.

Nah, just tried it with various options including forcing DirectX 8.1 mode etc and it's still no better, seems a lot of people are having issues with the free Portal although all different to mine.

Nooo, there's only 19 levels? I did level 18 last night and thought I was just getting into it.

It's a very good game at a very nice price. Especially nice not to have to boot into Windows to play it too. Thumbs Up

Last level is more than you might expect though Wink

Looks like you can get a whole lot more levels here:

https://www.portalmaps.net/browse.php

https://www.portalgamemaps.com/

I'm sure more can be found on Google!

Thumbs Up Very Happy
