It's not restricted.
125cc 2-stroke engines are restricted, because they can produce significantly more than 15hp.
125cc 4-stroke engines tend to be designed to produce only about 15hp. As such, they're already running at full power.

Sorry.

If you ride mostly uphill, eat less.

If you ride mostly downhill, more.

nope,

4t 125s are slow as fuck anyway and there is nothing you can really do to make them faster. If you play about with the sprockets you can theoretically gain a few mph, but acceleration will be sacrificed and it really isn't worth it.

A smaller rear sprocket may increase your top speed, but I doubt that would help. It would probably just take it longer to get to its top speed.

One tooth down on the front will increase acceleration and you might then be able to redline the bike in top gear.

if anything, I would recommend going down a tooth on the front sprocket meaning you will have better acceleration but a slightly slower top speed. Will make your bike seem faster and will be good for around town speeds.

60mph isnt quick at all for a 125, thats well tuned 50cc 2 stroke territory Razz But basically, the VanVan is designed to be slow, so either stick with it, or buy a different bike.

My mates used to go 65 maybe 70 at a push and that was a right mess. He blew it up int he end as he though oil levels worked like fuel levels e.g it was fine till it ran out then you had to go to a petrol station and refill it. Laughing

Check your brakes aren't sticking on by pulling them on, then spinning the wheels by hand with them off the ground.

The back tire on those things is huge with loads of tread on it. If it's worn but still legal it might have a much smaller diameter than originally effectively down gearing the bike.

Sell it and get a 2 stroke, as said 4 strokes are not designed to go faster than that, there are a few modifications you can do but it still wouldn't hit 70 Probably.
