Hi all. I want to pick up some cheapish machined short levers for my SV650, and there aren't many places out there that do them; at least, I don't want to chuck over £140 at levers.

There's a lot of places on ebay that do machined levers from China for a whole variety of sports bikes, and they're pretty cheap. Would any of these fit an SV? It's a pointy 2010, although they're still largely identical to any post '03 SV.

Cheers in advance

brand new bike sir? good on you!
If you can get your arse down to a suzuki dealer or scan ebay for standards, see if theres a bit saying "also fits" and it will tell you or look for the master cylinders which will have an "also fits" to match them up.
Same applys for the clutch.

Cheers Very Happy

The most informative thing that I've found is a pazzo ad on ebay, suggesting that they fit:
99-10 SV650 / SV650S
04-10 DL650 V-STROM
98-06 KATANA 600 / 750

Would I be right in assuming that Katana is the American name for GSXF?

:edit: - the cheapest I've found for a definitely compatible lever set is about £120. I'm sure that it's possible to get ones that are cheaper than that.

I've been trying to, with little to no success.
I keep seeing ads like this, which is a fantastic price, but for the wrong SV/DL - these ones are for bikes with a hydraulic clutch. Can't seem to find one for a cable clutch on the cheap at all. The closest price I'm getting is here, which although a helluva lot cheaper than pazzos, is extortionate when compared to the price asked for other models.

Your best doing a google search, is there not an SV forum? Reason i ask is the guys over on the VTR forum got me a dyno jet kit cheaper than anywhere over here.

Spent days scouring google, with questionable results.
Some places reckon that SV1000 levers will fit, other reckon they won't. I was under the impression that the SVthou had a hydraulic clutch, in which case they definitely won't fit, without some serious modification to the bike.

I've just signed up and posted the question on SV650.org's forums, and I'm awaiting responses there. I'm not massively hopeful, given that every thread they have on there tends to trail off into madness at about the same pace as the ones here. Oh well, at least it means that I should fit in OK on there...

That's fantastically helpful, dude; have a karma cookie.
It appears that the following bikes are compatible:
gsr600 06-10, gsxr600 97-03, gsxr750 96-03, gsxr1000 01-04, so on the basis that the levers have to fit on the bike, I'm guessing that any levers from any manufacturer that fits these models should be good.

Awesomeness on a stick. Very Happy

:edit: Bwahahahaha!

These same guys sell levers that will, for absolute peanuts. Gotta be worth a throw.

I think so, yes. To be honest, if he rates them, then that's good enough for me.

They look the same, and cost the same (including the shipping on the other ones, that is), and are from the part of the world. It's probably safe to assume that they come out of the same factory, in truth - the webpage looks a little more polished, though.
