The Pirate Bay had some downtime recently cos of increased legal pressure and threats of large fines. But a few hours later they were back with a new host and this message:

Other half has switched to torrents because of this.

She's also put it on my lappy. U Torrents, I think.

I don't have a fucking clue how to use it.

newzbin has been on borrowed time for a while. They got loads of pressure to as they were the leading site. Having to pay didn't help their case i don't think.

Is "OK" for a few things. Shame as newzbin was just plain simple to use. Is it necessary to pay for those other sites for them to be worthwhile?

I am an avid torrent user, i protect myself whilst uploading, and have been tracked before but i set my ip up to read as canadian (long process lets not go into that).

Used to use Peerguardian2 now use peerblock or whatever its called as P2 stopped working?

Never used Usenet but have seen it advertised.. can someone explain what it is, how it works, and most importantly how it can be 'free' (im on Virgin??)
