APRILIA RS 50 TICKING OVER HELP..!!!!!

my rs 50 @ "w" reg 2000 rip off.... after buying on e bay as a project.... we have re built the entire engine ie ; new piston,rings,barrel head etc, stripped and rebuilt carb several times and thought we were almost there.....BUT..... AFTER WE START IT, IT REVS FINE WITH THE CHOKE ON BUT AS SOON AS WE KNOCK THE CHOKE OFF IT REVS HIGH AND THEN JUST SLOWLY DIES...!!!!!! HAVE CHANGED AND TRIED SEVERAL TYPES OF JETS BUT STILL NO JOY..!!!!! CAN ANYBODY HELP.....???????

Its hard to tell what you've done. I'd put everything standard as you can get it, get a manual if you can, and set everything as it states.
High revs but then dies, have you tried setting the idle mixture screw and needle height as stock?

WE'VE JUST STRIPPED THE REEDS OUT AND THEY LOOK PRETTY SHOT.....WOULD A NEW SET HELP THE PROBLEM OR SHALL I JUST GO FOR A NEW CARB..??????
