Hi, I just had my first experience of riding off road last sat at trail world in hertfordshire and really enjoyed it, so now i want to get into green laning.

My question is, what are the legal off road routes like in the south east and are there many of them?
And also are nobbly tyres legal on tarmac or do most people put their bikes on trailers to get them where they want to ride?

Not great selection compared to many places - but enough to get by.
There's people from here out trail riding most weekends in the southeast - sign up to the south east section if you're not already.
There are some pretty serious road legal knobblies - the issue is with how far you want to ride on them on the road is another matter - both from the 'squiggly' feeling at speed and the wear to them.
I find a tyre like the MT21 offers decent grip for trails, yet can still managed 80mph (if being a bit noisey) on the road.
