You may be interested to know that this morning I finally did it; module 2 in the bag and after years of dallying and fucking about, I am now fully licensed up!

All I need now is a bike...

Cheers all, feels pretty damn good to be honest!

There's a 59 plate GSXR 600 with 200 miles on the clock waiting for me to come sign it over, but had trouble getting a decent insurance quote on it yesterday, all I kept hearing was to ring back on monday so they could actually speak to their brokers and give me a half decent price, so I had to leave it for the day, which sucks now, cos I'd kill to be out playing on it in the sunshine this weekend! Instead I'm at South Mimm's services waiting for the AA to turn up and retrieve me and my dad's car, which I was only bloody in because I didn't think my car would make it! Didn't really expect the gearbox to pop!

Anyhow, I digress, and there is, believe it or not, a point to this post! Yes, really! Now obviously I realise, being 23, having passed this week and wanting a basically new gixxer, I'm not exactly an insurer's wet dream (or perhaps I am, depending on how you look at it...) so it's fair to say I'm expecting to get a bit stung, but was just wondering whether any of you guys have been in the same position or know anyone that has been, any ideas on a target price? Even if it's only a rough one?

To make your lives a bit easier, lowest crime rate area, garaged, thatcham approved alarm/immobiliser, car license for 6 years, 3 years no claims on car, access to other vehicles, but it is my first bike, and license since thursday!

just be interested to see what others paid, best quote so far was about 1300 from ebike fully comp, but hopefully I'll be able to work on that tomorrow!
