Here are some photos, tell me if your in any of them :

I also made a video of a walk around squires, but needs to be edited before i upload it. will post soon if interested.

X9Travels, arn't you that bender who made that thread that was made of epic win a while back? Other than that, looks pretty awesome, do they all go for a ride after or something? Or just sit around chilling.

Can tell you 2 posters never been to squires.

its a place near Selby called squires, its a biker place where bikers hang out and meet up, its a pub biker theme. a lot of ride outs start there or use as meeting point, i am sure i don't need to explain what it is do it sure you been there or some place like it, like BigDs but bigger.

Yes i made a thread lasted about 10 or more pages, was going throw a bad patch in life as we all do, but I'am different now i would say, sure most of my recent post show that.

Went to Squires today busy long que inside, burger van shut ........

But did anyone els go Wednesday and try the coffee from the Van.....it was 10x better then the one inside ???? why ?

They must be some awesome burgers to get THAT many people there.

I guess I'll just be ignorant and carry on actually riding my bike.

How do you think the bikes got there? Magic?

I like bike meets personally. Often they're a good mid-distance place to meet up with biking mates that don't live nearby. Plus, I just like looking at the various bikes that turn up. Don't see what the problem is tbh, many a BCF rideout starts from Box Hill..

Slowly.

I don't have a problem with it at all, I'm just trying to understand the concept particularly since it apparently seems to happen every week,

as long as its dry and warm.

What's really sad is that some people do little else with their bikes than this sort of thing.
- park up, look at other bikes -
It's almost creepy.
(but I do quite enjoy doing myself very occasionally)

I’m sure plenty of others feel the same about bike racing – why keep going in circles to get back to the same place.
When I first started riding a big bike/meeting people from BCF I enjoyed going to boxhill as a convient meeting place where you could have a burger and oggle the other bikes as well as those better than me at doing wheelies etc.

Why slowly? Oh I understand, you're that lone cool fast guy I see, be way too uncool to go to somewhere like Squires regularly.
There aint no 'concept' involved, its just like minded people going to something they enjoy be it slowly or otherwise, and yes! some even go in winter or when its raining.

Saddo, get a life.

Your reading waaayyy too much into it. I fancied going for a ride and Squires is roughly 80 miles away. Just wondered why people go and if it was worthwhile. From the sounds of it I'm likely to get the posse after me.

Its not too bad tbh, bit expensive though. There are better places like the Sun Inn near otley, hawes, devil's bridge etc. Thing is its very well known.

Its a place for people to ride out to/pass by on the way out/meet up with people etc. Have a coffee (or one of those hot choc's Very Happy), shoot the shit, look at bikes and continue on.

Its a pain to get into (i always over-shoot the entrance) an the car park isn't level. Oh an if you have a sumo with no sidestand and its busy, your knackerd lol (i have good personal knowledge of this).

Those sorts of places are good for a pitstop, pee and cuppa, you can wander around looking at other bikes, and even chat to real live people. It's called socialising. It can be fun.

This is why some bikers do it.

I personally love it when I get the opportunity to chat 'live time' with 'real' people, because I'm not particularly a pub-ite, and these days if you don't go to the pub, you invariable miss out... Karma

I personal y only go there cost its nearby, and as some say its good place to meet for a coffee with your mates and a chat, when i was there Wednesday me and mates sat down on grass had coffee and chatted for ages and chacht up on things.....

.......Its better then a chat on the phone, and better than sat in the house having a coffee i think.

think of it like this ....its going to the local pub with your mates ( squires is a pub ), but to a place that's suited to bikers.
