Yamaha DT swapping for a 2002 Sachs XTC Racing.

Guys

I've been in touch with some chap from Worcester who is interested in swapping his 'in reasonable' condition Yamaha DT125 for my Sachs XTC Racing.

It's been converted to off-road but I'm looking to have it converted back to on-road. What's involved? What will I need? And where would I source the parts? I'm not completely stupid however, I do know that I will have to source documents to have it registered it wasn't already registered before.

otherwise its most likely nicked. who the hell wastes time ''converting'' a dt to offroad otherwise?

Aye, I haven't commited to anything at the moment. The guy is on is on the website.. Www.swapz.co.uk.

I'm still scepticle as to whether it's his bike or not, But I think to swap/sell anything on this site you need proof of ownership. I'll speak to the guy and confirm the bikes his.

My bike needs some more work doing though.. Lol, I lost the keys.. needs front indicators, mot, tax and a respray.

The DT has a dodgy past. In my opinion they only end up as field bikes either directly after they've been "aqquired" from their previous (read - lawful) keeper, or once they've been recovered. Bet one or more of the engine / frame numbers is either butchered or restamped using a cheapo generic stamp set that looks nothing like Yamaha's font.

I'm aware of the complete amount of idiots on the site. But I love the XTC and wouldn't just swap it with any old idiot. I've messaged this guy and he's said he doesn't have the documents as it's 'a field bike init mate, dunt need documentz'.

So yeh, I told him without the documents for the bike it's worthless to me. I think I'm just going to finish of repairing and spraying this bike and getting as much as I can for it on Ebay and other sites. I'll post a link up when it's all done!
