Weird Problem, Yamaha Neos 50cc

Okay so I got a Yamaha Neos 50cc (2002) with 12 month's tax and mot + logbook for £380 Last week im yet to take my Cbt, but should be soon,

Anyway i rode it on some empty land and it worked fine 45mph no Problem starts first kick, But it cut out after a few days off starting it up and riding it.

So i took it apart and tested for a spark And the spark wasnt jumping from the Gap it was jumping out the side! and caught me twice =/

Anywho got a brand new one from the Local Mechanics Place Put that in started first time, Ran it offroad worked fine, 2 days later Bamm! cuts out and wont start investigated the plug has done the same thing? What are you guys thinking? coil/spark lead.

i Noticed the one the mechanic gave me didnt match My original Plugs code, so going to get one that matches the original Code tomorrow, he told me it should work and he compared it to mine, i looked at them both and there is alot more insulation inside the original (broken) one than the one he gave me.

And i know wrong place to post but just signed up here

Were you holding the spark plug when you kicked her over? lol

You should rest the hook bit on the engine case so the spark has somewhere to go and not through you.

If it's sparking it should be ok, check the (if it has them) air and fuel filters.

Yep, if your spark plug is coming out black and sooty thats a sign of either the engine is running too rich or, more likely, your air filter is blocked and needs cleaning/replacing

Turned out to just be the spark plug

so the original Broke down
the one we was sold was the wrong fit,

yes very unlucky but now the new one has been in and it starts first kick without choke everytime
