Here's the deal:
I'm currently riding a 125, and while it's ok for pottering around on, it's a bit too small for me as I'm 6'6, and look a bit like a Wookiee on a tricycle!

However, I have a '79 Honda CB750K waiting for me and I was wondering if it's worth getting it restricted so I can ride a physically larger bike, or would it screw with the power/weight ratio too much, as the CB is a bit of a tank.

This would only be for a couple of months until I can afford to do my Mod 2 again.

Any advice and info on restricting bikes would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers Very Happy

Are you asking if you can ride a restriced 750 before you pass your test? So you've only done your cbt? (sorry its early) If so the answer is no, you can only ride a 125 on a cbt, restricting bikes come into play when you get your A2 licence.
And most bikes handle the restriction fine, I assume only the big litre bikes would suck with them.
Bloody beautiful bike btw Wink

Well that's a bit of a bugger.

I was hoping to be able to ride something that I don't have to crowbar out of my arse every time I get off!

Looks like I'll be on the 125 for a while longer.

Cheers for the advice!

Haha I know the feeling, I'm 6 3 and had the same problem on the hire bikes I did my test on. Still, best of luck on your mod 2.

Sounds like a really nice bike! I assume you're over 21 and are doing the DAS test to ride it. Not sure you can restrict old bikes like that, although I'm probably wrong.
