Riding without L plates?

Got to work this morning and it appears the rear L plate has fallen off. The front one is still there though.

What would happen if I get pulled over/smash into a police car when I take it home? Is it a points-worthy offence?

Yup, three points and a fine, or they will use their discretion and all will be fine. Really depends on who it is.

I've never ever been stopped on my bike though with or without learner plates so the chances you'll get in trouble are very slim if you are replacing it soon. Go to a petrol station if you think you're desperate, buy one of the soft ones there and just stick it flapping on the back somehow.

If they believed you about it falling of they probably wouldn't take it any further. As your front is still there they probably will believe you.

Get it sorted asap though!

Thee is nothing stopping you making one using a bit of white card and a red pen or some red PVC tape.

There is nothing in law stipulating what they are made of. Just size, colour and where to put them.

It looks so much nicer without the L's though, I have got to take the test soon. Laughing

Hehe, firstly I don't have knee sliders and when ever I start to get low on my CG my footpegs start grinding away at the tarmac. Secondly, my CG has no rear brake at the moment at all, definitely something I will have to fix before it's upcoming MOT, so I'm kind of forced to front brake around some corners. And finally, how on earth did you just manage to put a female police officer fantasy in my head? Laughing

Oh, and I have gotten my knee down and hung completely off of a bike many times. Mini moto is fun Embarassed

I was forever making new ones out of cardboard and wrapping sellotape round to make them 'waterproof'... I never ever bought them new... Thumbs Up
