Hi im hoping for some help here please guys !
I have recently bought a 125 gz k6 with just 3k miles & supposedly serviced at 2700 miles it runs fine but is very noisy till it gets hot top end but not a tappet rattle more of a knocking & im wondering if its normal for these bikes to start up noisy or something serious ? Also I have only been able to get a haynes manual up to k5 & have noticed k1/2/& 3 have different valve clearances inlet 0.08 -0.13 mm ex 0.13 - 0.18 to k4 & k5 inlet 0.03 - 0.08 ex 0.13 - 0.18 , & I cant find out anywhere if they are different again for k6 as the makers are allways trying to baffle us by altering something to make things more awkward harder to get to or needing special tools ! any feedback would be gratefuly welcomed ......Cheers |

I doubt very much that a manual adjuster would fit where the auto is, It's probably just a noisy engine. Like you said it quiets down after it warms up. sounds normal too me. Mine starts quiet and gets noisy after warm though it's the tappets need adjusting ____________________ I once saw a bloke shagging a donkey.... in Saudi arabia. Yeh thanks for the info
I took the adjuster out & its a pig to get back in without I think what must be a special tool to hold the inner screw ( or 3 hands we all wish we had sometimes ) which has just a flat screw head & winds the spring back the adjuster piston is on a ratchet so cant just be pushed in , so I wound it back with a 3inch screwdriver bit & taped it to it while I got the bugger back in , if Id had the propper manual a two minute job with an ordinary short screwdriver while adjuster still attached to cylinder , though still sounds the same ...Oh well ive done 350 miles on it new oil filters & plug , so ill just carry on I guess & keep trying to get an up to date manual ........ cheers all |
