Backing up before format.

Having to do this, got a years worth of crap and want a fresh start so I can network my 2 PCS together.

I've backed up all of My Documents etc. but Dad wants his outlook address book, contact lists etc backing up aswell. Anyone know how to back up everything in outlook and outlook express (emails, contatcs, settings etc.?)

Also he wants the favourites list saving, how do I go about doing this?

If you're on Windows XP then backup the whole of the 'Documents and Settings' folder on the root of the main hard drive. This should not only get all of your documents (since each user's "my documents" folder is inside this) but also the settings and private data of all 'well-behaved' applications.

Note that to save backup space delete all temporary files and internet cache documents before backing up.
