Wndows 7 laptop keyboard/mse issue

OK a customer asked me to look at his laptop for me.

His touchpad would not work at all, and the keyboard would stop working sometimes.

I took a look and the kb was ok in device manager, but the mse had a triangle next to hit. What ever I tried I could not reinstall it!

So deciding on a currpt install I decided to reinstall the os fresh (Was an upgrade over vista)

All worked fine until I updated the windows and then it stopped again along with the gfx going back to a generic driver.

So any idea what update can be causing this?

Are you sure the triangle was anything to do with MSE?
I don't have 7 but had MSE for months and not seen that.
It sounds like windows simply flagging a problem.
I'd check makers website for updated driver first.

Is the os you installed legit.

Os is legit. and I get code 10 error (Unable to start device) when goto reinstall drver, tells me best driver is already installed.

No updates for 7 from the msw/kb from tosh.

Done a system restore to before the updates and worked again!

Double checking the obvious here, but most Toshibas have a touchpad toggle on FN + F9, try that to be safe.
