It's perverse how addictive someone else's hysteria can be! Mr. Green

I reckon that they are used to the farmer visiting them or even feeding them from a quad, which is why they were extra inqusitive! I'd bet most people would struggle with the 'stand your ground' advice given when approached by cattle!! Shocked

Cows are the most retarded animals you will ever meet. They will do the exact opposite to whatever it is you want them to do.

Does standing your ground actually work when there are a group of inquisitive cattle running towards you? Confused

One of you should have sneaked disembarked with a set of hedge cutters and chopped one of their teets off in retaliation! I've always wanted to chop a teet off an udder. My housemate who runs a dairy farm said it probably wouldn't be a good idea. Were they cows or bulls since I always thought cows were a lot more sedate.

I live on the edge of a cattle farm and a dairy farm, so have a little experience, albeit I don't work with cattle, the farm hands always give this advice. If you don't run and stand still waving your arms like you're bringing in a 747 and yelling something like 'go on' then it does work. Rolling Eyes

However, according to my cousin, I still hold the record for the fastest ever field crossing followed by a stylish barbed wire fence hurdle whilst being pursued by a whole herd of the f**cking things, so what do I know?! Confused

Working on a cattle farm I can tell you running away won't work.

Cows are far more scared of you than you think. They will not get within touching distance if you move. If you stand dead still they will investigate but if you suddenly move they will move back.

Just wave your arms and yell and they will piss off.

Bulls on the other hand, don't even bother, if you think you can make it over the nearest fence, do it. It isn't worth the risk.

Ally running from a bull is the worst thing you can do, if you feel intimidated make your self look big and slowly walk away and keep watching it (walk backwards if you have to)
If a bull charges you they close their eyes and run in a straight line so just move to the side pretty sharpish. But if a cow gets upset and feels the need to chase you it will keep its eyes open and follow you so run like feck then. Thats what i was told when i started working on the farm by my bosses dad (he has worked with cattle for 60 odd years)
Them cows in the clip were just inquisitive, if they put there heads down then they're going to charge at you, that applies to cows and bulls.
Had to laugh when he dropped his bike lol
