New tyre + Hugger = ?

Lots of horrible scraping noise!
My bike makes a nasty noise at slow speed so I took my hugger off to get a better look at the back of my bike. The black under side of the hugger has worn away on one patch to leave just the yellow surface left! Has anyone else had this problem?
And how do I get the hugger back on without causing it to do it again?

Check the hugger clearance when you fit the wheel.

I had the same trouble the last time I removed my wheel; it turned out that it was a loose bolt! Smile

mine did the same at first, now I have a smaller rear sprocket and the wheel is further back in the chain

also, if the tyre is hot then it picks up gravel and that scrapes around the inside

check the chain is as tight as it should be

see if you can move the hugger forwards in its mounting holes, if it is just paint then maybe a couple of mil is all you need

Yeah its just paint, i'm gonna have a go at lifting it up a bit and seeing if that helps.
