Saw a lovely looking Suzuki TL1000S on ebay, but what's that hydraulic looking thing over the handlebars??

It's something that dampens the steering. A "steering damper", if you will.

[edit] Second thoughts, it could be a new version of the Autohelm Automatic Tiller. Probly works with SatNav, so you can take a nap when riding.

I'm pretty sure that's a steering-damper. Or an automatic tyre-pumper-upper-thingy.

Its an auto steerer.

When you can't be arsed to steer that thing does it for you, I suggest you go out and buy one staight away and test it on a twisty road at high speeds.

It really works and you can be cool too Thumbs Up Cool

It generates electricity as you turn the bars, this is then used in conjunction with an electric motor to power the front wheel. Effectively you get a two wheel drive hybrid bike capable of over 200mph whilst maintaining in excess of 51.23221 mpg.

I'd buy one but I don't have a spare £29000 lying around.

Im assuming you're serious. In which case, you're also a fucking numpty.

Its a side stand, holds the bike perfectly upright.
