I went over to Southampton on Wednesday, and on the way back nipped down to Wickham (bottom A32) to the Shell garage to fill up the tank...it was 116.9 for unleaded.

Pretty decent, considering everywhere else is around 120.0 or higher.

I just don't look anymore. It's all stupidly expensive.

Although, I do tend to stick to supermarkets, they drop a few pennies so you go there.

Not many people go just for fuel, they go for fuel and to shop! Wink.

It looks like prices are dropping, my local station went down by 3p a litre a couple of days ago.

And it's free air too! (As in compressed, for tyres, not normal, for breathing)

What we need to do is build a bike that can run on compressed air somehow...

Morrisons at Doxford Park, Sunderland is 113.9

Most other places round here like Asda, Boldon and the Barnes roundabout are nearly always the same.

He's working on it. Rest assured he'll get there in the end. He's already to proved to Kawasaki that they're making fundamental design errors when it comes to frames, airboxes and exhausts.
It's only a matter of time before he solves it - the difficult he can do today, the impossible may take a couple days more.

Thumbs Up

Prices have just come down Thumbs Up 2-3p per litre here (Surrey). Most garages match each other within a short while of anyone changing their price. I get email updates listing local prices. You can nominate several search locations - home / work / parents etc and it will give you the 5 cheapest stations in each of those areas.

Sadly, by the time I get there I'll have lost any benefit to filling up at a cheaper garage. It all seems to be in the £1.18-£1.20 range around Northfield/Weoley Castle.

I agree.
For the bike, it makes the difference between filling up near work ooh must be about 15p cheaper, plus the *wonderful* 'loyalty' points. For the car I might save as much as a whole 45 of Her Majesty's pennies woop! The only real deal is spending over £50 in the main store and you get 5p off per litre. Wait until nearly empty and stock the boot with jerry cans...

Morrisons seem to be the cheapest I've seen so far.

There are already compressed air powered cars:

Although they have crap range, crap power and they generally suck ass.
