That's why they wait till busy times in surburban areas.
Believe me, in town in heavy traffic, a well ridden scoot will always stay with you.

You haven't seen me smash through London have you? Laughing I have yet to see a ped boy ride well.

I rode in London for 25 years.
Do you commute ?
What's your route and how long does it take you in rush hour ?

Hornchurch - Shoreditch 17 miles give or take, normally 25mins if caining it, 30 if not, or 2.5 hours if it snows Laughing

My bikes are so shite I can't imagine a kid on a ped wanting to nick 'em.

Chris: have I held you up along the A13 on my GPZ500 yet? Laughing : I do hope not! I have another even more annoying bike at the moment, a nice big slow old XJ900 - apparently it won't do over 70 for some unknown reason (even then, I rarely get it over 40) and it has the clutch from hell, and half a gear change lever, so I ride it worse than I ride the other one.

Look out for the fat old mad bird cussing at traffic on the beaten up XJ900 Bounce! Thumbs Up

I'd be more worried about people knocking bikers to the floor at petrol stations and taking the bikes tbh. (Apparently this is also happening).

Love it Thumbs Up

I am sorta noticing why kids on scooters are looked down on now. When I cycled I am sorry to say I lumped all motorbikes and scooters into the same group. Been paying more attention recently, I have noticed the kids on scooters and the way they behave on the road. I haven't seen any of the bike kicking over stuff yet but eh... They are pretty dumb and have the most dire chip on the shoulder when going around the same 3 circles in Uxbridge town impressing the 14 year old girls. Time will tell or something like that.... Either way, happy I went with motorbike for my commute Smile

They could be tomorrows long term bikers.
I get so sick of born again and new older riders criticising people who represent the future of biking.
What the hell do you knoe about it.

Yeah, but as you said in your first post, these 'ped bois' are assisting in the theft of 'real' bikes!

I do see where you're coming from though about giving them a break, but the fact is, alot of kids on scooters do fit the stereotype. Thats just the way it is.

And i'm not saying that just because i've passed my test, they even got on my nerves when i was learning Wink

*chuckles* Wow your an angry fella!

When they become commuters / bikers / cyclists / drivers and normal members of society ill accept them. I have a lack of time for most sub groups that seem to try to live up to their name. From the 'riding hell for leather' motorcyclists, kids on scooters riding dangerously, and fixie cyclists when fixies became popular. To many of them removed the brakes from their bikes then crashed into anything and everything cause they couldn't control their bikes.

*shrugs*

Riding / driving badly due to inexperience is one thing. Riding / driving baldy cause your being a muppet, that's something else altogether. Smile

I get what a ped boi is, what's a bod poi? Opposite but on a bike? Possibly i have, but been cycling for a long time. I sorta lumped all of the 2 wheeled motorized stuff into one group. Try to get out of the way when they come tearing up the bus lanes. Only plus was if it was a motorbike i heard it sooner Smile

Ill give there, yes I have always been sensible. I have always worn a helmet when cycling. Always worn a bright yellow jersey when in the dark or wet. Always had good lights on my bicycle (I am mad on having proper decent lights on it). I am also aware i piss a lot of people off when riding a motorbike because i refuse to go so much as 1mph over the speed limit. I was the same when cycling. From when speedometers became available, i would touch my brakes and bring myself below 30 in 30 zones.

Christ I am boring.... Embarassed

Am I the only one who thinks this is quote unlikely? It's going to be very, very obvious something is dodgy if somebody is following you all the way to your house.
