I can't see it on Eurosposrts, so I take it practice is only on the internet?

my local bike shop Fred Hanks is closed for the duration of the TT, now thats dedication. Bit inconvenient for the rest of us mind...

Sorry but I think the IOM TT is a farce.
If as many horses were killed in the Grand National, as riders die in the TT, that event would have been banned by now.
What really saddens me is that I met one guy recently, who told me he always chooses a certain place to watch from because it's where you get the best chance of seeing a crash.
That about sums it up for me.  |

Whereas horses don't have the option.
Yes, they are our gladiators in the arena. Some want spills, others thrills and i like the skills.
You are getting into 'Troll-mode' or your period is on its way.

From what I know of the TT, most people just go for the piss up and party.
The real race enthusiasts are a small minority.
Personally I think it should be stopped.
It does no favours to biking, and the constant deaths simply perpetuate the idea that bikes are inherantly dangerous.
I don't think it would do the local economy any harm either.
If the racing was stopped, I'm prepared to bet that just as many people would still go to the Island for an annual party instead. |

I think the minority is people wanting to see a crash, i can't see someone paying money, booking a ferry, finding a place to stay and all that bollocks just to specifically & hopefully see a crash, i can imagine a very few people that live on the island would do but if thats upto them so be it.
it's one of those things that'll never be banned, take for example the Monaco F1 grand prix, in a stupid place, no room for anything with f1 cars flying round, but i doubt it'll be removed from the calendar in my life time.
