Just been reminded by the topic of the Spiderman film - who is the best super hero and why? I would have to say Batman because he rocks and he is the only one who is human, as far as I know.

Couldn't be bothered with a poll, and they're a bit unpopular.

Wolverine's the man.

OK, I've never read a Marvel comic in my life, but from watching films I know who I'd want to come save me if I was a damsel in distress. Drooling

He rules. Cool

However, I'd rather have the powers of spiderman. I think he would beat wolverine in a straight fight. Wolverine would recover though and then spidey would have to move his tired hide out of there.

Personally, I'd just like to be able to fire lightning out of my fingertips like the Emperor in Return of the Jedi! Cool

Superman doesn't have to even try, he's too powerful. It takes no skill to use his powers - they are too fancy. Web slinging and claw usage requires much more skill!

Superman = Thumbs Down

The Shadow or the Silver surfer.

Althought the Phoenix would probably beat most other super heroes in a fight. Confused

Jet Li as 'Black Mask' in the film of the same name. He had his nervous system pulled out so he can't feel pain.

Thor, Silver Surfer, Captain America.

Not necessarily the best, but do you remember these?

Oh the good old days.

The shadow is probably the coolest, (and I do like the whole "Mind Clouding" thing!)
Wolverine is probably the toughest,
Superman is probably the most boring.
Spiderman is the most skillful,
and Batman is the best one with no super powers at all!

The emperors lightning is still the best super power though... Cool

Disagree MarJay. There was an episode once (TV series) which found Butman and Robin isolated in the middle of a desert. Do you know, there it was, a working phone box and, and, AND... Butman had a spare 'quarter' to ring and get help. Or the one where they were both trussed up and about to be shot by the villain when Butman managed to work out the exact trajectory of the bullet if he made the villain shoot at the precise angle to injure himself. Which he did of course. Now if that isn't a superpower, what is! Very Happy Thumbs Up

Wolverine if he can be counted as a superhero, coz he didn't spend an awful lot of time saving people really.
If he can't be counted, it has to be Spidey - he rocks!

I think Superhero status is attained only when there is an 'action man style' figure made in your likeness (not some of the rubberised cr@p you get free with a Burger nowadays!). Consequently I'd nominate Steve Austin aka The Six Million Dollar Man.

If you take into account the rise in the cost of living and the advances in technology since he was first rebuilt, today he'd be a Sixty Thousand Billion Dollar Man and would obviously be Better, Stronger And Faster than the Better, Stronger And Faster version that was built by Scientists in the 70's Wink
