Repairing motorcycle gloves?

I have a pair of RST SP-K motorcycle gloves which I’ve been wearing for over a year now and are well worn in but the Velcro on the wrist area has finally given up so I was wandering is it worth getting the Velcro replaced since there are comfy gloves or scrap them and buy new then have the fun of weeks of breaking them in again?
New Velcro would cost £7-£10
New Gloves £24

So money wise it makes sense to repair but is it worth it in the long run?

do you really need the velcro? just use them and cut the velcro off

Problem is the velcro is attached to the wrist amour section of the gloves so that isnt a option. So taking it off would still result in the wrist section flapping in the wind.

You can replace the velcro cheap, either sow it on yourself of try glue, out of curiousity are the replacement gloves sp-k as i was looking at some of them, if so where are they £24.

Just had another look at them and it seems it’s the furry bit the hook Velcro side attaches to has had it. So think I’ll go shoe repair chap who put new Velcro on my Alpinestar boots a while back shouldn’t be more than £10 to get it done professionally and hopefully get a year or more of life out of them.

It's annoying since this I the 5th pair of gloves I have bought and finally found they are the most comfy so think I’ll be sticking with them until they fall apart.

As for the price for SP-K’s there on E-bay and must admit they are the most comfy gloves I have had over the years:
