X Box 360 HD

My 360 is a normal one (not elite) and it's connected with a cable which has a serial and two other wires at the other end (component I think it's called?) and they are all gold. Is it HD?

Also does the HDMI cable only work with the elite?

If the 360 has a hdmi port (which the newer models did, my 2nd premium did) then yes, a hdmi cable will work exactly like it does on the elite.

The 360 doesn't output 1080p anyway,1080i is as high as it'll go.

Does your 360 have a hdmi port ? If it does then obviously a hdmi cable can be used.

Component has 5 connectors, 3 for image and 2 for audio, this is HD.

You using a computer monitor rather than a telly?

You should of got the proper component cable (as pictured by Mr Everready) with your 360, also with a scart adaptor thing for the 3 visual plug things. I'm crap at describing things
