Swapped my clear pinlock visor over for my dark visor a couple of weeks back and when removing the clear one I must have been a bit ham fisted and managed to snap one of the small lugs on the inside of the visor Embarassed

It's one of the small locating lugs that hold the visor in place when opening and closing, the furthest towards the top, not part of the ratchet.

I've managed to Superglue it back on today but not sure whether this is really going to work.

I don't really want to shell out for another visor at the minute so if the Superglue doesn't hold well is there anything else that would do a better job of it?

Thanks

try thick acrylic cement.

https://www.litkoaero.com/page/LAI/PROD/Glue/nCRAFT33

Something like this.
It melts the acrylic, so they become one piece in a couple of minutes.

I thought visors were made of polycarbonate, not acrylic?

Thanks Calyx Thumbs Up I'm leaving the visor overnight before I try fitting but the lug seems to be stuck strong at the minute. If it does come away again I'll get some of that stuff for sure!

Solvent is basically a nail polish remover (acetone) mixed with polycarbonate.
Poly Carbonate is a hardened acrylic.
I always hated organic chemistry but somehow I still remember those stupid things Very Happy
