Hi,

I can't comment on the frequency of this, but recently I have been getting this error after using the forum for a while. I guess it could be a problem at my end, and the way to fix it is to empty the cache and delete the cookies and it starts works again...

Any ideas?

It's not BCF setting a cookie that big, so chances are you've got some kind of nasty "browser helper" or unwated toolbar/widget you've accidentally installed at some point.

Start by clearing your browser cookies, then check your PC for spyware.

I tend to use Privacy Eraser which does a pretty good job with automatically erasing cookies, cache and temp files etc
I find it's easy to use, with many user friendly facilities, and even the option for it to run automatically in the background either on startup or shutdown.

It's obviously also advisable to use an effective anti-virus. For the record I use AVG free and can highly recommend it.

I am using Safari on Mac OS 10.5, Safari is totally standard (i.e. no pluggins). I didn't think that they had created any spyware for mac yet... Hmm I guess I shall have to look into it.

Like I said clearing the cache and cookies fixes it, its just a bit annoying have to login again on most websites.
