Got my second yesterday as I pulled up into work, small screw in the tyre.

It's a tubed tyre, Honda XR125, but since I can't ride it or take the wheel off (no centre stand/experience) etc.. it's gonna cost me about £50/£60 quid to get it picked up and a new tube fitted at the bike place a few miles away.

It's a new tyre on the back, only 2/300 miles on it, and it has a small 1mm or so hole where the screw went, but that should be fine right?

I was wondering whether there's any good product that works, for tubed tyres, like that slime stuff, or something similar that would at least give me a bunch more miles before it's flat or let me get some air in to get it to a shop next time it happens.. because paying £60 and being without transport for a day or two (not to mention pushing the facking thing a mile or two home uphill after a puncture) because of a little screw in the road is starting to drive me insane.

Cheers in advance guys.

(Noticed a puncture thread a little further down after posting, my bad).

There are slime type products although I dont know how well they work with tubed tyres...

So you know, that £60 could have got you a rear stand and some tools to take off your wheel with enough left over to pay for the new tube and fitting...

It's a worthy investment Thumbs Up .

Cheers.

Well I haven't done anything yet, was gonna sort out the details today since they said Friday is the earliest they can pick it up, so I might invest in a rear stand which would cover the cost of pick up and wheel removal for them I guess.. £30/£40 or so.

Great idea, glad you mentioned it actually as it would come in handy.

I've never taken a rear wheel or anything off before though, but I figure I outta make the effort and learn how to. The biggest job I've done is changing the oil and air filter. Laughing

Any specific tools I might need and reccomendations on a good/cheap rear stand.. where to buy etc?

Many thanks dude. Thumbs Up
