so, exactly 6 days after passing my test my valve splits, anyone know how much it costs to get a new one fitted?

Revalve of what exactly?

Fork dampers?
4t engine valves?
2t powervalve?


Also, what bike do you have, big differences in all of the above depending on model.

HAHA you are looking at about £2 for a new valve and somewhere around £10 to remove your wheel, break the bead and refit the tyre Thumbs Up .

Varies by place of course, IME the shittier looking the building the better the prices. Avoid main dealers anyway as they are a bunch of cvnts Mr. Green .

Hi

A tyre place in York (one of a national chain) charged us £5 to fit a new valve on Sunday 2 weeks ago. This was with us using their jack to support the bike while we took off the front wheel.

you have to remove the tyre from the rim? seems a bit long winded fr what is effectively a bung

Given that it's a bung that's stopping internal pressure from escaping, I'd have thought it was the logical conclusion to have a bung fitted from the inside. Otherwise it'd be forced out.
