they do have body armour, but use it on the track this was just a bit of fun
and I'm fed up telling my oldest to get his boots on, spent a fortune over the years on gear for them
and about to spend a lot more as my youngest is outgrowing his gear every 6 months just now
the pic is him out on his new bike at 5 with all his gear on and that cost nearly half what I paid for the bike

Ok. But IMO its best to always wear your gear.

Me and my little bro had a little fun up a bit of wasteland last weekend on our bikes. Unfortunatly we both came around a blind bend head on with each other, as i turned the bars to avoid him, my handguard hit him across the head (he was on a small crf 50) causing him to loose control and go flying off the bike. Luckily he as wearing decent gear, and only suffered from a cut and bruised finger.

I've got soft tissue damage to my shoulder that would not have happened if I'd had body armour on
problem was I did not intend riding the bike that day so had no gear on
I was only going to help start the 125 when my son came round on the 520 and asked me to take it down to where we were sitting (100m) and he's sort the 125 out
well I managed to get it side on and we parted company

i'm in the process of buying a load of new gear just now, they go through it so fast
I can hardly keep up
