PS, iirc the 6 points already count so you only need 1 more point for the licence to be revoked.

Did you get the original points on the bike or do you have a car licence. Probation period just applies to first full licence.

^ What he said Smile

I passed my car test many years ago but I have now passed a bike test, am I subject to the New Drivers Act?

No. The Act only applies to the first full test that you pass. By adding a further category to your licence, you do not start afresh as far as the New Drivers Act is concerned.

Is a bike license seperate to a car license? Do points earned on a bike transfer to your car license and vice versa? If you end up losing your bike license do you lose your car license too?

You have one licence with many entitlements. The points go on your licence. If you get more than 6 points in the first 2 years after passing a full test, your licence is revoked.

In other words, you lose the lot. You only have to pass one full test again to get all your entitlements back though.

Your license is your license for every entitlement. So if you lose your license that's car, bike, lorry etc.

To get them all back you have to pass one test again in any of your entitlements.

Not if you get a normal ban. However if you get caught by the 6 points new driver limit you do need to redo a test (and you can't get away with taking a test for an extra category to get all the others back).

All the best

I'm dreading what will happen over my camera van speeding, rather have 2 month ban than retake all my tests.

You would only have to retake one test (that being one you had already passed).

for people being made to do an extended test, usually after an extensive ban (drink driving etc).

it is a specific requirement they must do, as said by the judge in the sentance.

True.

But some posts have gone of that subject and give the impression that whatever ban you get, you will need to do a retest to get your licence and the entitlements back (which is wrong).
