hi i have just got a peugeot speedfight 2 50cc lc

i had the bike given to me so i dont know much about it , the kickstart was not working so i took the cover off and sorted that problem out then i replaced the battery the bike will still not start even tho i have got compression to the engine , there are no lights working at all or on the dash or the electric start the only thing that works is the horn

i have also notice that it has got a peugeot elyeso cdi unit on it

please help as i would lyk to get it goin soon as possible

Check the fuses, check the earth and check the ignition. Thumbs Up

hi have checked the fuse now im not sure about the earth or the ignition as i am new to this please could you explain abit more thanks

With regards to the ignition when turned on check with a multimeter that power is getting to it, the electrics should be earthed to the frame.

Also check the connections onto the battery terminals are clean and tight.

What problem?

That cdi de-restricts the bike, do you want to put an OE cdi back on the bike?

i just thought it would be a problem with it havin a different cdi unit on it the cdi unit says chipkey 2 elyeso and the bike has been stood a couple of years
