the hornets ment to be faster and built better than the bandit,but thats done a fair few miles soo dunno what i should get

Its a no brainer. The Bandit is a far better deal imo.
Only one owner from new, and you can see its been looked after. It is newer and has half the mileage of the Hornet.

I've just noticed that the Bandits price of £1,350 is its starting price and not buy it now price.
It does look a very tidy example, but thats about its money, i wouldn't go higher.

I'd have test rides if I were you.

I had a Bandit 600 and found it incredibly boring. I was used to much faster sports bikes admittedly, but it really was lacking in any character whatsoever. It did what it did well, but was totally void of any fun, so I sold it after a couple of hundred miles.

I can't speak of the Hornet as I've never ridden one, but by all accounts I've read it seems to be a better bike.

Price is a bit high on that Hornet, but then they'll go on forever, so its not a massive issue miles wise.

That hornet is over-priced and bandits are horid.

I would go for a hornet, a lot more fun to ride that the pile of rust that the bandit will soon turn into.

Keep an eye out for a better horent, loads flying about. have a look on the hornets nest as quite a few go through there on their way to egay.

53k is a fair few miles, but not that it cant handle it.

And hornets look Cool

Ebay is your problem. Gumtree is a good source too. Don't stop at looking locally as couriering isn't dear (£113 to get number 2 Hornet from Scotland to me in Brum).

A quick squizz at gumtree and there's this one for £1495 with 39k miles to start with - same model as my number one. Has the 17" front tyre.

Couriers were piece of piss - post your job on Shiply and the couriers bid and undercut each other fighting for the work. The site works like ebay, with couriers/users having feedback so you can see what work they do and how well they do it. My courier wasn't a bike courier but had done bikes, had good feedback and my bike came delivered sandwiched in between two mattresses Laughing

id have the xjr, they are cheaper to insure even for young un's because its the older guys who generally buy them, thus rarely crash them keeping the price down,

if you didnt want such a big bike, i would go for a older naked bandit over the newer bikini faired thing,
as for the hornet, while they look nice, i don't trust hondas and there dodgy cams and shitty big ends,

how honda got such a good rep is beyond me
