Very Happy

It happened n the 3rd session, i didnt seem hurt and the bike despite fairing damage started on the 3rd attempt so I carred on for the rest of the day.

Came out of the "bus stop", ready for the sweeping right hander before the straight that has the wee chicane, went for it. I went in a little hot and didnt think i was going to make it, instead of just looking down the track and carrying on, i looked at the grass, slammed on, ready for the slow down on the grass, bike hit a massive rut or something, sent me flying, bike slid around the grass

This was my first crash, glad it was on track as opposed to the road, would have been a lot more painful hitting walls etc!

Could have been a lot worse, i now need a new front cowl and side fairing and she will be right as rain. The can got torn away from the metal part that bolts to the link pipe, so il be cutting it down and re-riveting it on. Oh and i might need a new helmet as i hit my head...bugger!

Beside the stiff neck and my inner thigh hurting im fine!

Oh and a thumbs up for pilot road 2's, they did a smashing job on track, not a single slide or any drama, so for novice track days they are highly reccomended if the bike is your daily like mine is Thumbs Up

Anyone have any fairings let me know

Cheers

Nice to meet you yesterday. It's much better to get back on ASAP after an off. Shame the wifes bike didnt come off as unbattered as yours.

hey, yeh was good to meet all of you as well, was my first swb event iv attended and everyone seems very relaxed and good company

Have repairs commenced yet on the B1? How are your wifes injuries doing?

My neck has been very very stiff the last couple of days, hurts lifting head off the pillow etc. My leg is getting better can lift it to knee height now without it hurting so much which is good!

I also need a new helmet i think, my head was killing me the drive home and all of yesterday, maybe i had light concussion or something lol

You're bound to crash if you tape up your bike's eyes - what did you think would happen?

Glad you are ok and the bike isn't too mangled.

I meant vid in general - of you having a good time - not the crash!! Rolling Eyes

But crash vids do make it a bit more worthwhile crashing ...

Here is an example!! Cool

The wifes crash on Friday looks exactly like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFlNzf4TlsI

She is surprisingly well considering, no real aches or pains.

I have got some footage following you in an afternoon session, I'll sort it out (and some pictures) maybe a little while though as I have to prepare for Cadwell tomorrow/Tues!

Cool!! (the footage that is, not the down and out!!) - looking forward to more when it comes! Cool

As for the off, was it a cold front tyre after following the other rider?

Yeah GoPro HD takes some lovely images, thats only 720p30 too! Since we were sharing bikes, I only managed one to record one session. I was a marshall/instructor so quite a lot of slowing down etc, although I do get a good lap towards the end

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4brj3sEb3o

Thankfully after her off a friend offered me a loan of his bike, not sure if he meant it or just one of those things but I took up the offer anyway Cool

Her off was due to too much power, the rear went (and thankfully didnt highside) she went in much tighter but didnt amend the application of throttle Rolling Eyes She was way too confident on that corner!

Bike then looked like this:
