CBR 600 F-Y

Calling all 600 F-Y owners - stupid question I realise but please be gentle with me. How do I check the coolant level on my bike? I had a half arsed stab at trying to get to the radiator but bottled out after removing one part of the fairing as it was getting a bit complicated. Is there a level indicator somewhere? Or do I have to strip down the fairing and actually open the radiator to check?

There is a coolant bottle yes.

Can't for the life of my remember where though. I have a funny feeling it's under the seat.(Shows long long it's been since I last checked mine.)

The cooland bottle is on the right hand side just to one side of the radiator the simple way to check it is to reach in with a camera phone from the front and take a photo of it.

It is actually on the right hand side, underneath the radiator and tucked in between the engine and frame.

if you look in the cut out at the bottom of the side fairing you can see the bottle. I stick a small torch in there so it goes slightly behind the bottle and you can see the level.

I should mention that your supposed to check the level with the bike running and up to temperature. Make sure its level, so use the center stand or get someone to hold it.

Marki hit the nail on the head. Honda made it nice and easy to check The level will be higher when the engine it hot, than when it's cold.
